MindfulWork is designed with privacy first. All your data stays on your device. We do not collect, upload, or share any personal information. No account required.
MindfulWork ("we", "our", or "the app") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our app.
All your personal data — including focus sessions, intervention records, monitored app lists, and settings — is stored exclusively on your device using a local database (Hive). We do not upload, transmit, or share this data with any third parties.
We do not require account registration and do not collect personal information such as your name, email address, or phone number.
If you choose to upgrade to MindfulWork Pro, purchases are processed through Apple's App Store. We use RevenueCat (revenuecat.com) to manage subscription entitlements. RevenueCat may collect anonymous purchase-related data (such as subscription status and purchase timestamps) as described in their privacy policy at revenuecat.com/privacy.
When you submit a refund request, we may share data about your usage and consumption of purchased content with Apple (via our subscription provider) so that Apple can evaluate your request. This may include how you have accessed and used the content. We do this only to support refund request resolution and in compliance with Apple's policies. By making in-app purchases, you consent to this sharing.
We do not have access to your payment card details, which are managed entirely by Apple.
MindfulWork offers optional iCloud sync for your data. You can sync focus session statistics and intervention records via CloudKit, and sync achievement unlock state via iCloud Key-Value storage. Sync is initiated manually in Settings → iCloud Sync. You must be signed into iCloud on your device. Your data is stored in your own private iCloud account; no MindfulWork server is involved. On the iOS Simulator, the sync API may report success but real cross-device sync only works on physical devices.
The app intervention feature uses iOS Shortcuts automation to detect when you open monitored apps. This is implemented entirely through Apple's Shortcuts framework and URL scheme. No app usage data is sent to our servers — the monitoring logic runs entirely on your device.
MindfulWork uses local notifications to alert you when a focus session completes. These notifications are generated on-device and do not involve any external servers. You can disable notifications at any time in the app settings or in iOS Settings.
We do not use any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs. We do not track you across other apps or websites.
MindfulWork is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Significant changes will be reflected in an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
